untitledI work at living my life in a thankful frame of mind. I’m thankful for all of you who have helped our business grow this year and in years past. And this week—this Thanksgiving week—seems like the perfect time to tell you that.

Like many folks, I also consider Thanksgiving to be the perfect time to relax and enjoy family in all its forms—immediate and extended, inherited and created. I’m challenging you to block all the thoughts of the craziness going on in the world (what I call “the swarm”), and channel that energy into all that you are thankful for this year.

The older I get, I find myself viewing life through a different lens. These days, I am thankful for so many things, and many of those things are quite simple.

For example, the sweetest words I’ve heard all year were from my children saying, “Daddy’s home” and “Love you, Daddy.”

I’m grateful when my smart wife says, “It will be OK.” I’m thankful when the doctor says to me, or someone close to me, “Your test results show nothing wrong.”

I appreciate when a client says, “Thank you for what you do for us.” I enjoy hearing my best friend ask, “Wanna go fishin’?” I’m thankful for the times I’ve laughed with my brother until my sides hurt

I love realizing that my old jeans are loose in the waist. When I can tell someone that they are on my prayer list or when I ask them to pray for me and they do so, I realize just how precious true, good friends are in my life. I’m grateful I recognize that and honor it.

And finally, I am truly thankful for having a God who loves me no matter what. The comfort of that is beyond measure.

We are all so blessed. We live in the greatest country in the world where we can become whatever we want.

So take time this week to reflect on your many blessings. Think of your own personal 7 F’s of True Success, and you’ll cover all areas of your life. Consider how you are doing on your work Fundamentals and how what you do each day is making a difference. Think about your Finances and your efforts at building your financial legacy. Take time to let your Family and friends know how much they mean to you. Give thanks for your life-affirming Faith, and enjoy your Fitness (both emotional and physical). Have some Fun this week, and revel in the balance that comes from the Fusion of all this.

Count your blessings, and then be thankful that you can. Most of us have so many blessings to be thankful for, and Thanksgiving is the perfect time to realize this.

We wish each and every one of you a healthy, happy and Spirit-filled holiday.

“Thanksgiving, after all, is a word of action.”
